American Spirit Whiskey Makes its Mark on Buckhead Restaurant Week
Scoot over Jim Beam and Jack Daniels, it’s time to make some room for Jim Chasteen and Charlie Thompson, the founders of American Spirit Whiskey. These two UGA boys are making their mark on the whiskey industry one jigger at a time. Feel lucky, Atlanta, we’re the first people to get a taste of what they’re mixing up, along with Athens, and Charleston.
The exclusive sponsor of Buckhead Restaurant Week, going on now through March 4th, you can stop by several of the featured restaurants and taste this clear whiskey for yourself. If you’re not planning on tackling the chaos of Buckhead Restaurant Week, there are several other places you can pick up a bottle of your own.
American Spirit Whiskey, or ASW, has an element that most Intown Atlanta dwellers can relate to; we fit in at a fancy dinner party just as well as we do at a simple backyard BBQ. “We think this will have a broad appeal from Martinis to Mason jars.” Chasteen told Atlanta Bearings. Whether you consider yourself a skilled mixologist or a “just add ice” type of guy, this is your liquor, which is probably why people like it so much!
Keep your eyes peeled for a future post on the founders, themselves. We’ll be giving you a little inside scoop on these two simple Georgia gentlemen who plan to bring a big sip of Southern hospitality to the rest of nation.
