537 Hillside Drive: The Definition of Dutch Colonial

This charming Dutch colonial home found at 537 Hillside Drive was featured in Atlanta Homes & LifestylesIts personality and pizazz bring a little something different to city life in Atlanta. Listed at $1.85 million, this delightful house is just looking for the perfect homeowner to call its own. (The following photographs were shot by Beacham & Company‘s Blayne Beacham, and this home is also featured in her blog this week, This Photographer’s Life)

The details are flawless. From the outside, this home looks like a dream, and it is. The lovingly manicured landscape screams curb appeal. The pebbles in the driveway bring in a rustic flavor that spices up this home and gives guests a true taste of its flavor.

Bonus time!!! The sizable two-car garage even has a car port connected to it, as well as a bonus room above the garage. The possibilities are endless.

The foyer is a show stopper. The heavy wooden double doors and unique tiling are the perfect “welcome home.”

The family room is the center piece. The lofty beam ceilings tower above you, extending the room even further. The current homeowners did a flawless job with the decor. Every piece has been chosen to fit the room and the rustic appeal of the furniture marries the home perfectly.

The delicate formal living room has floor-to ceiling-windows that bring in so much sunlight, bringing out the shine in the beautiful hardwoods and magnifying all of the little things that the room has to offer.

The dining room could not be more original. It’s definitely one of a kind. The texture of the wall paint is outstanding, and all of the visual elements make it a beautiful room to have a formal dinner in.

The study is magnificent. The beautiful windows shed so much lights on all the wonderful things this room has to offer, brightening it up and bringing it to life.

The kitchen with it’s beam ceilings and textured paint job is a sight for sore eyes. It feels like your in the middle of a mountain hideaway miles outside of the city.

The breakfast room is fit for a feast. The beautiful windows and doors brighten up everything.

The front staircase has a personality of its own. The leopard print carpet and the brass banister are a great introduction to the stunning second floor.

Here’s one of the five beautiful bedrooms that this home has. Each on of them is to-die-for.

This guest room is phenomenal.

We saved the best for last. Look at this beautiful master. It’s giant.

The third floor is an extraordinary bonus room. It’s perfect for a kids room or a huge closet.

The grounds are wonderful. Here are the gates that lead you into a wonderful garden area.

Look at this quaint outdoor haven full of character. The pebbles and greenery bring everything to life.

Look at the stone deck. These orange benches really pop against the foresty back drop.

This humongous backyard could easily be the scene of a kickball game.

Look at this fun bench.

This home even has a backyard bonfire. S’mores anyone?

This home is conveniently located in the heart of Chastain Park. If the house wasn’t enough, the neighborhood’s wonderful, too.
